Summer

My last few weeks in Flagstaff were spent working on some new projects. I tried Super Vector at the Pit, and was able to do all the moves. I linked through the bottom boulder problem, and fell on the finishing crux of Terminal Vector. I didn't get a chance to go back and finish Super Vector. I have no doubts that Super Vector will go down quickly in the fall. I tried Planet Terror at Kelly Canyon a few more times, and figured out some new beta. I also went back to Cherry Canyon, and made progress on some of my projects there.

I arrived in Maple Canyon a week ago, and I have 3 weeks left for my stay. My endurance has been improving, and I've been climbing nearly everyday. I started seriously sport climbing again for the first time in 4 years a few months ago. Maple Canyon hosts amazing sport climbing on Cobble Conglomerate rock. I'm psyched on the climbs in Box Canyon, the Pipe Dream cave, and the Compound cave.

My current projects are:
Loser, Box Canyon
Sprout, Pipe Dream Cave
Diggler, Pipe Dream Cave
Special Forces, Compound Cave

Some of the notable climbs I have finished in Maple Canyon are:
Bomb Squat, Box Canyon(4th try)
Football, Box Canyon(3rd try)
Gun Tower, Compound Cave(2nd try)
Point Blank, Box Canyon(2nd try)
Lunchables, Minimum Wall(Flash)

I'll be headed to Alberta to check out the limestone sport climbing in the Canadian Rockies for 3 weeks after Maple Canyon. Then I will either head to Squamish, British Columbia to boulder or return to Maple Canyon for a few more weeks of sport climbing. Near the end of the summer I will head to Colorado for 3 weeks to visit some friends and go bouldering and sport climbing across the state.
